Townhouse Takeover

Date

May 2025

Location

Calgary, AB

We left our prints on almost every square inch of this townhouse. These clients moved to Calgary all the way from Toronto and wanted this townhouse to be turn key ready for when they arrived. The first order of business in this takeover was to remove all of that 70's disco popcorn ceiling texture that ran throughout the home, we skimmed it all out and saved it with a nice flat white level 5 finish. We refreshed all the walls, doors and trim with some TLC and paint to revive it while also saving the client some money on having to replace anything. They wanted to keep the fire place original so they chose colors that created a nice flow in the home by sticking with earthy tones. The two tone kitchen with white quarts top that wraps up the wall really creates a nice feature on this main level, by wrapping the quarts up the backsplash and continuing the cabinets to the ceiling it gives the kitchen a much taller presence creating height in a space that doesn't have much to begin with. Upstairs we remodeled both bathrooms, each with their own unique design. We utilized large format tiles for the walls in both which makes the shower feel much larger and require less cleaning of dreaded grout lines. Both spaces feature some wild floor tile design that was chosen by the clients and really packs a punch in these smaller spaces. Bathroom floors are a great place to add that touch of unique pattern and color that catches your eye the moment you walk in. In the basement we removed all the ceiling tile and went with drywall level 5 finish throughout. By re framing some walls and running new vinyl plank flooring throughout this space instantly becomes a great spot for a family room to watch movies or watch hockey with friends. Our team worked hard on this massive project and we couldn't be any happier with the finish results!
