Herringbone Heaven

This ensuite underwent modern facelift with a beautiful dark herringbone floor design to steal the show . We did not have much room to change the layout of this bathroom so we relied on the contrasting colors to create more space. First things first the 90's corner jet tub had to be removed, we call these the bathroom 'soul suckers'. By removing this we immediately give the illusion of more space. Often in these smaller 4 piece ensuites they have a corner shower with an off angle design that you would think allows for more space but in reality actually makes the room feel smaller. By making the corner shower a fraction skinnier and elongating it we actually make the toilet area seem as if there is more space. Which in theory means a more spacious "throne" experience. Large format tiles in the shower area means less grout lines which means less cleaning! These clients made all of their own selections and absolutely nailed it.
