70's Basement Reboot

You might ask yourself why would you rip out an old 1970's style basement just to install a new 1970's style basement? We decided to show you exactly why this is an amazing choice for a nice cozy "old new" basement style hangout. Unfortunately this client had a water backup in their basement which opened the can of worms for this 1970's basement. They decided they wanted to rip it all out and start fresh. We removed the old sauna they had in the middle to create a much more open layout for family time. These older style bungalows generally give you a very large open area to work with, so we had plenty of room to add a bedroom/office area. These clients wanted to go with the 70's theme and made all of their own selections which they absolutely nailed. Updated wooden wall paneling, green wall color with starburst orange feature walls, gold accents for handles, a green / gold shower and even a Led Zeppelin pinball machine to really seal the deal!!! This basement makes a statement that really makes you feel that nostalgia!
